Stacey Brown, PT, Cert

Stacey obtained her Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University in Portland Oregon in 1980.  Since obtaining her Certification in Equine Rehabilitation Therapy from our program here at the Animal Rehab Institute, she has opened her own practice, For Horse Rehab, and has been serving horses and riders in the Portland and surrounding areas for 6 years.  Her practice revolves around 30 years of experience in both neuro and ortho rehab for humans, and that application to the equestrian sport.
Her unique approach includes thorough evaluation of both horse and rider musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.  She uses manual techniques such as Strain/Counter-Strain, Myofascial Release and joint mobilizations along with neuro-motor re-training through education and functional kinetic chain exercise (yoga and pilates, as well as more traditional exercise based tri-planar closed chain programs). She has advanced training in the use of cold laser and uses it to facilitate her treatments for enhanced results.
We are fortunate to have Stacey join our staff and present the following course this year :
Functional Assessment of the Equestrian Athlete – Level 1
